I bought some new shoes today:

Welcome to Boringsville, population me, right?? I guess I just wanted to have some shoes I could wear and not worry too much about them getting dirty or what have you. I haven't bought new shoes in a few years, and all my current shoes have gone flat.

Last month, my brother gave me these shoes, and they're pretty cool:

the shoot, day one

Good times. We came, we shot. There were hot dogs. I almost got into a fight (on camera only). Big ups to my peoples who dropped by. It was very sunny all day, but now it's raining, so I'm glad we stopped when we did.

The next shooting for this video will be on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9pm. Please shoot me an email if you'd like to be in it! We may do additional shooting after that as well, or we may just call it a wrap. We'll see.

In a month or so, I'll be shooting another music video with a different director, so we can compare and contrast! I'm sure they'll be quite different (mostly because they are very different songs), but both will be very good. I'm excited.

I now have a complete rough mix of the entire 20 tracks of Master of Fine Arts. There will be 16 songs, 2 intro/transitions and 2 bonus traxx.

Over this last weekend, I pre-mastered the first 6 tracks. Only 14 tracks to go! Hopefully I can get all of that done by the end of June! We'll see!!! Then I just have to make sure my artist delivers the artwork and then send it off to get mastered and pressed!!!! And then the massive publicity blitz will begin anon.

There are 10 special guests on the album, providing a variety of talents from singing to rapping to proclaiming and also playing live cello. I myself play live violin, bass and guitar on some of the tracks, plus I dabbled a bit with some record scratching to give it that real hop flava. There are another five special guests on one of the bonus tracks, and one of the original 10 sings on the other bonus track, at the end.

I saw Indiana Jones 4 last night, and it was great. Feel free to leave all sorts of spoilery thoughts in the comments section at will!!!!

I don't actually have much to spoil but I really really enjoyed when they did that awesome romp around my own beloved Yale. It was short, but oh so sweet. And Ray Winstone is super hot. He's the best. And Neil Flynn rocks my world too!!!! Yay!!! It was a fun time.

I get really excited pretty easily, I guess. A week or so ago, tragedy struck. I lost the case to my brand new DS game Front Mission. Every time I tried to play a different game, I didn't have a place to put Front Mission!!! The horror!!! Well fortunately I relocated it today, so I can breathe a big sigh of relief. It always feels good to find stuff! I pretty much hugged my game case and cried out, "Oh Front Mission game case, it's so good to see you!!! Sorry that you were left in the deep, dark recesses of my suitcase, behind one of the flaps! I will now put you in the deep, dark recesses of my undershirt drawer, with the rest of my current stash of DS games!"

So my mini-midwest may tour is this weekend! I'm super excited about it. I'm hoping to get out and do another tour in a few months. Perhaps in September-ish. Hopefully hit up Detroit, return to Chicago, Minn and Indy, drop by SF :-) We shall see! Quien sabe! Maybe by then my new album will be fully pressed. I gotta get out to Denver too. Places to go. I need to make plans! Plans!!!! It's good to get outside every now and then.

It's been an exciting week in The Elemental Palace. On Thursday night, I finished working on a track for my buddy Rob. Friday night, I went out with my interstellar crew, my close fam. Saturday, I wasted the entire day playing Okami lol. I wanted to go out to my friend's house party, but I was too tired.

But today, I made up for it by recording THREE spankin new tracks. I put together my second video game hip hop mix, which is always fun to rap over during live shows. I added the vocal scratching and finished putting together my track Break, which features Jon Berger on vocals (I scratch his rapping) and Paul Martin Bauer on guitar. I also then went and recorded a brand NEW track titled "They Call Me". Cuz everyone's always calling me and so forth. I hope you like it when you finally hear it! Yeah!!

Layton does it again

Yo. So I bought Professor Layton and the This Game Has Seven Million Words in the Title of it. It's a very fun game. A little short, but extremely interesting and entertaining, and I will take every moment being cool over something that gets long and boring.

On the box of the game, there's a screenshot of Layton and Luke, his boy apprentice.. rrhrawarrr!.., running very quickly. I assumed that they had found a clue like a piece of paper or something, and it started blowing in the wind, and that they were chasing after it. However, when I made it to the movie in the game, I discovered that it was the most kick-ass chase scene ever!!! It's truly amazing!!! I had to watch it probably 20 times in a row, it was so good. It's even better than the ending, where it jumps the shark a wee bit. But we still loves it, so no worries.

All in all a good game.. Looking forward to part B!
