Yep in the space of a few days, I did a few shows in a few states. It was fun. Now, I am back. Here's a new video created by Matt Koff that I am in for a few seconds:




I think the whole video is great. I love their exchange at the beginning.. "Almost as much as I love yoooooouuuu!!" "Shut uppppp!"

I get really excited pretty easily, I guess. A week or so ago, tragedy struck. I lost the case to my brand new DS game Front Mission. Every time I tried to play a different game, I didn't have a place to put Front Mission!!! The horror!!! Well fortunately I relocated it today, so I can breathe a big sigh of relief. It always feels good to find stuff! I pretty much hugged my game case and cried out, "Oh Front Mission game case, it's so good to see you!!! Sorry that you were left in the deep, dark recesses of my suitcase, behind one of the flaps! I will now put you in the deep, dark recesses of my undershirt drawer, with the rest of my current stash of DS games!"

So my mini-midwest may tour is this weekend! I'm super excited about it. I'm hoping to get out and do another tour in a few months. Perhaps in September-ish. Hopefully hit up Detroit, return to Chicago, Minn and Indy, drop by SF :-) We shall see! Quien sabe! Maybe by then my new album will be fully pressed. I gotta get out to Denver too. Places to go. I need to make plans! Plans!!!! It's good to get outside every now and then.

It's been an exciting week in The Elemental Palace. On Thursday night, I finished working on a track for my buddy Rob. Friday night, I went out with my interstellar crew, my close fam. Saturday, I wasted the entire day playing Okami lol. I wanted to go out to my friend's house party, but I was too tired.

But today, I made up for it by recording THREE spankin new tracks. I put together my second video game hip hop mix, which is always fun to rap over during live shows. I added the vocal scratching and finished putting together my track Break, which features Jon Berger on vocals (I scratch his rapping) and Paul Martin Bauer on guitar. I also then went and recorded a brand NEW track titled "They Call Me". Cuz everyone's always calling me and so forth. I hope you like it when you finally hear it! Yeah!!

Yo. So I bought Professor Layton and the This Game Has Seven Million Words in the Title of it. It's a very fun game. A little short, but extremely interesting and entertaining, and I will take every moment being cool over something that gets long and boring.

On the box of the game, there's a screenshot of Layton and Luke, his boy apprentice.. rrhrawarrr!.., running very quickly. I assumed that they had found a clue like a piece of paper or something, and it started blowing in the wind, and that they were chasing after it. However, when I made it to the movie in the game, I discovered that it was the most kick-ass chase scene ever!!! It's truly amazing!!! I had to watch it probably 20 times in a row, it was so good. It's even better than the ending, where it jumps the shark a wee bit. But we still loves it, so no worries.


All in all a good game.. Looking forward to part B!

My 10th year high school reunion was amazing, I met lots of super great people all saving the world blah blah boring details you don't care about.


The funny thing is that everyone told me that at 10-year reunions, all the guys would be bald and fat, which is of course just how I like 'em. I was getting all excited. But actually most of them were much, much smaller than they had been. It was like they used to be big balloons, and someone went and deflated them a quite a bit. I'm curious because we don't seem like a class that really works out much.. I guess we all just walk around a lot or something, or maybe we don't eat enough.

I keep finding out that all these people are looking out for me, and I didn't even realize it. I sure do appreciate it!!! Thanks, everyone!!! I love you all!!!!

So last night I was at ESPNZone in Timez Zquare. It was really really fun. I was surprised because I thought I'd mostly be eating and playing videogames. But you actually get a really great workout as well!!! Much better than wii sports :-)

The boxing game has you diving and bobbing and flailing your arms about like a mad man, plus I was shooting baskets, throwing footballs, bowling, skiing, kicking soccer balls and more! I'm impressed! I may have to go out there regularly.. instead of doing boring gym machines and tv workouts.. we'll see. Hopefully wii fit will be that fun and physical as well.

When I hang out in the city, I often see very fashionable people drinking fashionable drinks in fashionable containers. Generally it's some sort of sweet iced coffee in a large clear plastic cup. What great advertising.

I am always shocked however, not that they are drinking this liquid heaven, but that it always takes them forever to finish it! I'm all like, "Okay I get it! You're sexy and you have this flavourful drink! Enough already!!" But no, they will hang out and hold their drinks, and hold their drinks.. and hold their drinks-- never barely even sipping them!

If I had one of those drinks, I would finish it in about 3 minutes. I just can't hold back when it comes to sweet, delicious drinks. Maybe if it was a fruit smoothie or a milkshake, it might take me some time, because those can be quite thick and filling. Sometimes I go in fighting, and I come out doggedly tired. But those coffee drinks are a done deal. Plus they are half ice anyway, so one little taste makes it sink half-way.

All I ask is that you drink your drinks, people. Stop making me jealous of your goods. It's funny because I don't get jealous when people wear expensive clothing, but those drinks always make me burn with envy.

But not on purpose. I left Union Square at 8:10pm to go to Metropolitan / Lorimer on the L, which is a 10-minute voyage, normally. Before that, I saw a totally awesome reading at The Strand featuring John S Hall and others. I heard about it from Uncle Shappy, who rules.

So anyway I was on the subway until 8:45pm, and then they finally ended up turning around and taking us back into Manhattan. I was sad, but we keep at it, so we all hiked from 1st and 14th down to Delancy and Essex, where we hopped on the JMZ train. So I got there at 9:40pm for my 9pm show. But it all turned out okay, because I didn't end up hitting the stage until around 11:20pm or so, so that was fine!

What a night. A guitar singer / songwriter, a blues duo, a sex worker and yours truly. Yes, literally a sex worker. In fact, the name of her act was "I Am A Sex Worker". She read descriptions of her job and clients. It was very intriguing. One of my friends on the west coast does a performance show about sex workers as well.. Maybe they should hook up, if they haven't already. "Hook up" as in do something together. Non-sexually. Performance-wise. Oh, you know what I'm trying to say. Blast you!! Always perverting my innocent musings!! You reader, you!!

They had wireless mics which always wins in my book. I got to dance with the crowd during my set and even rap to a special guy who happened to be sitting right by the stage. It was very personal. We have fun. It all went down here:

Tonight, I'm going to The Strand to check out a reading put on by my man Uncle Shappy, and then I'm doing a show at The Ottoman Lounge on Grand and Havemeyer at 9pm! Should be a fun time!

Everything gets done by the closest hair in my world... but at least it's getting done! yay!

Should be fun!

It's funny when you desire something for so long, and you fight and fight, and then you even start dreaming about it.. yiikes! And no.. I'm not talking about sex.. not this time.. :-) I woke up this morning, and I was like "Wow.. I guess this has really been on my mind for a while.. but why?"

And as expected, it wasn't as straightforward in the dream as it would be in real life. Nope.. in the dream, there were many other factors added in to make things even more difficult and frustrating. I need to take a step back sometimes.. Focus on something else for a while. Sit it out. Relax, calm down. Maybe.
